About Laura Praksti

I was a Certified Medical Assistant for over 10 years.  I've worked those years in medical offices in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.  I have also worked in veterinary offices as a vet assistant/technician.  I decided since I have a love for animals and a drive to start my own business, that I would start a pet sitting service.  I have always been dependable, hard working and delivered quality work.  I began this business because I realize most people own pets, most people vacation or work late, and many people would rather have their pet cared for in the comfort of their own home.  I decided that I would like to be the person caring for your pet.

All services are provided personally by either myself or my husband, David.  We believe that with keeping a smaller based company, we can provide the best care possible.  I know, as a multi-pet owner, the importance of having your critters kept comfortable while you have to be away from them, even for a few days.

I will care for your:
  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Birds
  • Horses
  • Goats
  • Chickens
  • Reptiles & Rodents
  • most other farm or household pets

Company history

I established the pet sitting service in 2004 and it has grown into a full-time business.  Services are catered to you and your pets' needs.  Our clientele come from the working pet parent that need mid-day potty breaks for their dogs; parents that go on vacations or business trips; and even folks that take the occasional day trip.
How It Works

It is very simple...a free initial interview is set up for me to visit you and your pets at your home.  We review your pets eating habits, likes and dislikes, medications and what they like to do for fun.  You determine the number of visits needed per day; then you can be assured that your pet will be expertly cared for in your own home during the agreed upon time period.

A key can be kept securely in my office for continued care or emergency needs such as:  change in work schedule, last minute business trip, or any other reason that would cause your pet to be in need of care.
